Iowa Remembers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity run solely by volunteers. Founded in 2010 our primary objective is remembering and honoring Iowa’s military casualties of war from Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn. Iowa Remembers is located in Grimes, Iowa.

The OIF/OEF/OND Roll Call honors Iowa’s fallen service members who were casualties of war from Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn. We also honor Iowa fallen service members who have died since 9/11 due to injuries received while serving, PTSD* or while serving on active duty.

*Names and documentation need to be submitted to Iowa Remembers by family members or loved ones. Deaths must be deemed military related on the official documentation. Requests including an official copy of the DD1300 (which states that the death was service connected) and a clear photo of the service member can be emailed to iowaremembers@gmail.com by August 31, 2024.
