Iowa Remembers, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity founded in 2010. Our goal is to honor and remember Iowa service members that have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
Iowa Remembers, Inc. hosts the Iowa Remembers' Annual Retreat (for family members in Iowa who have lost a service member) and the Iowa Remembrance Run (a 5K walk/run to honor and remember Iowa's fallen service members).
The Annual Retreat is an opportunity for family members to get together to celebrate the life of their loved ones and to share the journey of other survivors of fallen service members. The event is designed to provide resources and support to Iowa's survivors as well as create an opportunity to form a network of peer support with other survivor families. Representatives (such as Survivor Outreach Services and Military One Source) are available to answer questions regarding benefits and entitlements.
The Iowa Remembrance Run is the main fund raiser for the charity. Funds raised support the Annual Retreat and survivor families. Information about the Remembrance Run - Honoring Iowa's Fallen can be found at www.iowaremembrancerun.com.
